Custom & non-standard bearings

OEM/ODM & Custom Bearing Solutions

Bring us a drawing, sample, target part number, or application requirement. BLD reviews the bearing envelope, operating conditions, material and closure options before confirming feasibility, tooling, MOQ, inspection plan, and lead time in writing.

What can be evaluated for customization

The final manufacturing scope depends on bearing type, quantity, tooling, test requirements, and acceptance criteria.

Dimensions & envelope

Non-standard bore, OD, width, ring geometry, mounting features, and application fit based on drawings or samples.

Materials & treatment

Bearing steel and application-specific material requests, heat treatment, corrosion protection, and surface requirements.

Seals & lubrication

Open, shielded, or sealed configurations plus grease selection for temperature, speed, contamination, and service life.

Clearance & precision

Internal clearance, tolerance, noise, cage, preload, and rotational requirements reviewed against the application.

Marking & packaging

Private-label marking, model identification, batch traceability, rust prevention, and export-ready packing requirements.

Inspection documents

Requested dimensional, material, performance, or inspection records scoped and confirmed before production.

From requirement to production

  1. 01

    Requirement intake

Share the drawing or sample, operating conditions, annual quantity, target price, destination, and required standards.

  2. 02

    Engineering review

BLD reviews manufacturability, critical dimensions, materials, risks, tooling, and inspection requirements.

  3. 03

    Written quotation

The quotation confirms scope, MOQ, tooling, sample plan, acceptance criteria, lead time, and commercial terms.

  4. 04

    Sample & approval

When sampling is required, production proceeds after the agreed sample or technical approval milestone.

  5. 05

    Production & inspection

Manufacturing, inspection, documentation, marking, and packaging follow the confirmed order requirements.

Custom bearing FAQ

Can BLD manufacture a bearing from my drawing or sample?

BLD can review drawings, samples, and application requirements. Feasibility, tooling, tolerances, MOQ, testing, and acceptance criteria are confirmed in the written quotation before an order.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom bearings?

MOQ depends on bearing type, dimensions, material, tooling, inspection, packaging, and customization scope. The binding MOQ is stated in the quotation.

How long do samples and production take?

Timing depends on tooling, material, test requirements, order quantity, and destination. Sample and production milestones are confirmed in writing for the project.

Can a custom bearing replace another brand or discontinued part?

A cross-reference is only a starting point. Dimensions, load, speed, clearance, seals, lubrication, fits, and application risks must be reviewed before substitution.

What inspection documents can be supplied?

Requested dimensional, material, or performance records are evaluated during quotation. Availability and document format must be confirmed for the specific order.
